The Turin Giants Bring In Former Italian National Team Head Coach Luciano Spalletti
The Serie A powerhouse have appointed former Italian national team head coach Spalletti to lead the team for the rest of the term.
Spalletti steps in for the Croatian manager, who was sacked following the loss to Lazio last weekend.
Tudor had joined the club in March to replace Thiago Motta but departed after seven months at the end of an eight-match winless run.
Under Spalletti, Napoli clinched the Serie A championship in 2022-23 prior to assuming the Italy role, who had failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup during Roberto Mancini's tenure.
Under his guidance, they made it to Euro 2024 exiting in the last 16 stage against Switzerland.
Yet, the Italian FA let Spalletti go in June post a qualifying defeat against Norway, putting Italy in danger of missing a third straight World Cup.
Spalletti's managerial career includes Inter Milan, Roma, and Udinese in Serie A and won the Russian Premier League twice with Zenit St Petersburg.
Massimo Brambilla served as interim manager for Juventus for their 3-1 win against Udinese on Wednesday placing them seventh in the Serie A standings - six points adrift of Napoli at the top after nine rounds.
They are 25th in the league phase of the Champions League, after recording one defeat and two ties in the initial three fixtures.
